XM Metal: The Fed's December interest rate cut expectations have turned from strong to weak, and gold's short-term strong rise is difficult to continue. Since last Thursday, gold's daily chart has been negative for four consecutive times, with the market price falling from a maximum of $4,245 to a minimum of $4,004, one step away from $4,000, and may break through that mark today. Also affected by changes in expectations for interest rate cuts, silver has fallen below the $50 integer mark yesterday, and the daily technical pattern presents a classic double top structure.
According to FedWatch, the probability of the Fed cutting interest rates by 25 basis points in December was about 70% a week ago. Today, FedWatch’s judgment probability has dropped to about 40%. The most important event during this period was the approval of the appropriation bill and the end of the US government shutdown.
