The plunge in the gold market last Friday poured cold water on the bulls. The bullish sentiment was shaken again. It plummeted by more than 100 US dollars overnight, and the domestic gold price returned to around 920.
There are different opinions on the reasons for the decline, including the impact of the US government opening up, and some saying that profits were taken, but this is not important. What is important is whether it will rise or fall next?
Last Friday I focused on the key position of 4150. Gains and losses at this position directly determine the future direction of the long and short positions. Sure enough, after the 4150 level was broken, a waterfall-like decline ushered in.
During the internal live broadcast on Friday, gold had already lost the key position of 4150. At that time, I emphasized that after the rebound, it would go short from 4150 to 4160. We should not rush to buy the bottom. The 4100 position could not be held at all, and the limit may reach 4050 US dollars.
It was not until the end of Friday that the price was adjusted to around 4030. There was almost no big rebound in the process, and short sellers who wanted to rebound had no chance. After the next quarter stabilized a little, we arranged a long position near 4055, and finally rebounded to 4110.
Judging from the current structure, the key point to focus on today is the high point of the late rebound last Friday at 4112. This position basically determines the direction of today's long and short positions.
That is to say, the price of gold will drop again below this position. Although I know that everyone is looking forward to gold bottoming here, the structure of the technical form must break through 4112 to usher in a rebound.
One sentence: Today, 4120 is used as the dividing point between long and short, and then the callback range is from 4090 to 4100. The downward positions are 4065-4055 and 4045. If the position breaks upward at 4112, then we will consider a callback and go long. This is just a backup plan. The focus of RMB gold is still to focus on 900.
